Securitas Systems AS Establishes New Segment Group for Health and Pharmaceuticals Industry

 

Securitas Systems AS (Norway) has established a new segment group to strengthen its focus on the Health and Pharmaceutical industry.

The creation of this new group comes as a natural development of the expansion of the Nye Ahus contract, signed September 9th 2005. Nye Ahus is a project concerned with the building of a new hospital in Akershus. The contract consists of a new integrated security system with Access Control, Personal and Attack alarms, along with a CCTV system. An additional feature is the establishment of integrated interoperability between the security system and other building technology systems, such as AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) and Building Control.

“We will seek to use the competence gained in this project to develop ourselves as a native supplier of security applications to the Norwegian public health service,” said Øyvind Halnes. “This is a natural step in our process towards segment specialization, which we will strengthen by employing more technicians with comprehensive security and IT competence”.
